Advanced Analytics
The Advanced Analytics umbrella combines capabilities that empower management executives, enabling them to take timely, smart, and prompt performance decisions. If this feature is enabled in the eG Enterprise license, then the following capabilities are automatically enabled:
-
Metrics Aggregation: This allows components of a type to be grouped and monitored as a single logical component, broadly termed as an aggregate component. This helps executives quickly and effectively assess the performance of an entire server farm, rather than of individual servers. To know more, refer to the discussion on Metrics Aggregation in the Administering eG Enterprise document.
-
Performance Rating: Performance rating is an aggregate metric that is based on a set of other metrics collected and reported by an eG agent. These ratings help management quickly ascertain the status of a server/system, without poring over hundreds of metrics collected for that target by the eG agent. To know more, refer to the discussion on Performance Rating in the Administering eG Enterprise documen.
-
Service Level Agreements (SLA): Enabling this feature allows executives to custom-define SLAs (Service Level Agreements) for business-critical metrics such as network availability, response time, errors etc. Compliance to these SLAs can then be closely tracked and potential SLA violations can be proactively captured.
Note:
The Metrics Aggregation feature is also separately licensed. If only the Metrics Aggregation capability is enabled in the license, then users will be allowed access to the Metrics Aggregation and Performance Rating features alone, and not the SLA feature.
